Our Catering and Events team specializes in creating seamless culinary experiences for meetings, events, and private gatherings. With a focus on high-quality, customized catering, the team ensures that each meal complements the unique nature of every event it serves. From elegant dinners to casual corporate meetings, the team provides thoughtful hospitality and expertly crafted menus to elevate every occasion.
We are looking for a Catering and Event Cooks who will be responsible for preparing food for events, functions or gatherings.
What you will do:
- prepping food items for service;
- preparing food according to standardized recipes and menu specifications;
- adjusting cooking methods based on customer preferences or dietary restrictions;
- plating dishes according to specifications;
- training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food;
- maintaining a clean work area as required by provincial health standards;
- performing assigned opening and closing duties;
- checking inventory and making sure ingredients are available for daily use;
- reporting low stock and helping with inventory management;
- collaborating with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations;
- completing all mandatory food hygiene and safety training that must be kept up to date;
- such other similar or related duties as may be required from time to time
The person we are looking for has:
- Passionate about Food & Beverage and similar work experience.
- Previous Banquet experience is considered an asset.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
- Possesses the proven ability to plan and prioritize.
- A high school diploma or GED would be a plus.
- Basic knowledge of culinary operations, a team player, a hard worker, and detail oriented.
- Is flexible and available for different days and shifts.
- Food safe certification
