Job Description
Under the direction of the General Manager, we are looking for a Server at Drift who will be accountable for maintaining strong knowledge about all food and beverage offerings in the restaurant. By adhering to the steps of service they answer questions, provide recommendations and create a positive guest experience. Servers maintain a clean section and monitor food quality to ensure all items are held to Freehand presentation standards. Through knowledge, accuracy and efficiency our servers provide the upmost satisfaction to our guests.
What you will be doing:
- welcoming each guest warmly and with enthusiasm, always creating an exceptional first impression;
- enthusiastically inform guests about our offerings and share your menu knowledge to make the best recommendations;
- accurately and precisely entering information into the POS system ensuring communications are clear for the BOH team;
- responding promptly and courteously to any guest request or concerns;
- going above and beyond for special requests or celebrations and taking food preferences and guest allergies or dietary restrictions seriously;
- keenly following all food safety standards and systems;
The person we are looking for has:
- At least 2 years serving experience in a similar environment.
- Smart Serve Certification
- The ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum, staying calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent observation skills & high attention to detail, offering a helping hand to all guests whenever needed, before they even need to ask.
