Chef Anthony Walsh has crafted menus featuring eclectic interpretations of familiar Maritime fare. Whether you’re sampling an incredible variety of raw bar delicacies or tucking into a piping hodge podge, Drift’s dishes aim to deliver equal parts comfort and surprise.

 

We are looking for a  LINE COOK:

 

What you will be doing:

  • prepping food items for service;
  • preparing food according to standardized recipes and menu specifications;
  • adjusting cooking methods based on customer preferences or dietary restrictions;
  • plating dishes according to specifications;
  • training staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
  • maintaining a clean work area as required by provincial health standards;
  • performing assigned opening and closing duties;
  • checking inventory and making sure ingredients are available for daily use; 
  • reporting low stock and helping with inventory management;
  • collaborating with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations;
  • completing all mandatory food hygiene and safety training that must be kept up to date;
  • such other similar or related duties as may be required from time to time

  

The person we are looking for has:

  • A passion for food and a minimum of 2 years of similar work experience.
  • Culinary diploma is an asset
  • High volume experience
  • Knowledge in areas of garde manger and fryer
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • A proven ability to plan and prioritize.
  • Basic knowledge of culinary operations, a team player, a hard worker, and detail oriented.
  • A flexible schedule and is available for different days and shifts.
  • Food Safe Certification
