Job Description

Under the direction of the General Manager, we are looking for a Server at Salt and Ash who will be accountable for maintaining strong knowledge about all food and beverage offerings in the restaurant. By adhering to the steps of service they answer questions, provide recommendations and create a positive guest experience. Servers maintain a clean section and monitor food quality to ensure all items are held to Freehand presentation standards. Through knowledge, accuracy and efficiency our servers provide the upmost satisfaction to our guests.

What you will be doing:

  • welcoming each guest warmly and with enthusiasm, always creating an exceptional first impression;
  • enthusiastically inform guests about our offerings and share your menu knowledge to make the best recommendations;
  • accurately and precisely entering information into the POS system ensuring communications are clear for the BOH team;
  • responding promptly and courteously to any guest request or concerns;
  • going above and beyond for special requests or celebrations and taking food preferences and guest allergies or dietary restrictions seriously;
  • keenly following all food safety standards and systems;
  • such other similar or related duties as may be required from time to time.

 

The person we are looking for has:

  • high attention to detail
  • experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment in the same or a similar role
  • organizational and multitasking skills
  • strong oral and written communication skills
  • high level of product knowledge including wine and cocktails
  • ability to remain calm under pressure
