Reporting to the Associate Director of Digital Marketing, the Social Media Coordinator is responsible for managing the digital presence of Freehand Hospitality restaurants, overseeing content creation, scheduling, and community engagement across multiple platforms. This individual will work closely with chefs, general managers, and leadership to ensure the social strategy aligns with brand goals and operational needs. They will create, curate, and execute engaging content that reflects the unique identity of each restaurant and drives guest engagement.

 

This role is based in-office with occasional requirements to work evenings and weekends for events. Travel to restaurant locations and event venues will be required.

 

As Social Media Marketing Specialist, you’ll get to:

 

  • Content Creation and Management:
  • Capture high-quality content at special events, experiences, and day-to-day operations.
  • Coordinate and manage professional photographers and videographers for menu launches and other major shoots.
  • Develop detailed shot lists, mood boards, and comprehensive content plans.
  • Social Media Strategy and Planning:
  • Assist in developing and refining social media strategies for each restaurant.
  • Maintain and manage quarterly content calendars tailored to individual restaurant needs.
  • Schedule and publish posts across various social media platforms.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
  • Address guest concerns or complaints, escalating to appropriate leadership as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to engage with the online community and elevate brand presence.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with chefs, general managers, and the Freehand leadership team to coordinate shoots and align content with operational updates.
  • Act as a liaison between creative teams and restaurant operations to ensure alignment on brand and marketing goals.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Provide monthly performance snapshots for each social account, highlighting trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Use analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of content and strategies, recommending optimizations.
  • Event Support:
  • Attend and capture content for key events, ensuring the brand is represented authentically and effectively.
  • Support event promotion through digital channels before, during, and after the event.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain a repository of all content for easy access and reuse.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and platform updates to keep strategies innovative and effective.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in social media management, preferably in food and beverage or a related industry.
  • Strong photography, videography, and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in social media tools and scheduling platforms.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with analytics and reporting tools.
