Building Structural Engineer

This person will report and work directly with the Director of Structural Engineering on all types of projects. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design, construction and engineering, with a degree of autonomy and experience in coordinating with architects and other engineering disciplines.
Your main responsibilities
- Technical supervision, coordination, verification and design of various building structure projects
- Work as part of a team to carry out building structure systems design projects for various sectors (institutional, office, commercial, cultural and residential)
- Contact clients to understand their needs
- Survey existing installations
- Analyze, design and adapt building-related installations
- Carry out pre-project appraisals
- Assess the construction cost budge
- Write specifications and technical reports
- Provide technical support for design
- Provide assistance in regards to site supervision
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or in Building Engineering option building structure.
- Registered as an Engineer at l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
- We're looking for someone with at least 8-10 years of Structural building design experience mostly with concrete and steel. Wood design is an asset.
- Fluent in French, both written and spoken.
- Familiar with SAP 2000, ADA, Etabs, Safe. Knowledge of REVIT, an asset
- Comfortable using the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- Oriented with a continious improvment mindset, Good communication skills, Conceptual thinking, detail oriented, ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
