Join The Team:

ERCO Worldwide is looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to join our Maintenance team! The Supervisor will be responsible for Safety within the plant, the department and the maintenance crew. This would be through detailed planning and execution of daily maintenance work, coordination of work with operations crews and scheduling of contractor resources. The individual will also be responsible for the successful execution of the expected job duties and responsibilities as listed:

 

The Role:

Supervision Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise maintenance crew, ensuring safety, compliance, and team morale.
  • Conduct timely employee evaluations and coordinate skill advancements.
  • Ensure personnel complete required training and follow up on outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate timecards/payroll and CMMS records.
  • Achieve plant and department metrics through team performance.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance with operating crews and plant services.
  • Manage daily shutdowns and lead startup meetings.
  • Schedule personnel and contractors to maximize resource use and equipment uptime.
  • Procure necessary tools, parts, and equipment.
  • Oversee onboarding for new employees and apprentices.
  • Fill in for other supervisors as needed.

 

 

Individual Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate data recording in all databases, including Dayforce, E-one, ERCO-U, IMS, and KMS
  • Conduct regular audits with documentation and corrective actions as assigned, audits to include safety, contractor, employee performance, and/or as directed
  • The individual will handle, label, and otherwise be responsible for the proper management of hazardous waste containers.  The individual will receive both classroom and on-the-job training related to the proper management of hazardous waste under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Wisconsin hazardous waste regulations to ensure compliance with those regulations.
  • Lead and participate in safety programs, including monthly safety meetings, JSA’s, IMR’s, direct report training sessions, and Root Cause Problem Solving
  • Complete all assigned training and safety activities in a timely manner
  • Perform minor project and CAPEX work where required, to include updates to plant documentation such as: P&ID’s, PFD’s, Equipment Files, PM’s, Maintenance Procedures, etc.
  • Maintain the 4-week Maintenance Event schedules, report out weekly on upcoming work, to include scheduled tasks, hours, etc.  Coordinate upcoming work with the appropriate departments, follow up on tasks resulting from the weekly meeting
  • Create and complete tasks in IMR, PHA, KMS, and CMMS databases
  • Initiate improvements for Pdm, PM’s, and MOC’s, driving each to completion
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Person:

  • Technical degree in a related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and 3 to 5 years maintenance related supervision.
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office tools and CMMS.
  • Strong troubleshooting and judgment skills must be capable of guiding team members to effective solutions where complexity exists.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills, fostering a positive and productive environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and a technical team effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Collaborative across functions and effective at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; resourceful, proactive, high-energy, and results driven.
  • Independent work capability with sound judgment; flexible hours and ability to work overtime as needed.
