Role Overview:

 

We are seeking a skilled CAD technician with experience in pre-press or/and co-packing assembly line to join our team as a Pre-Press & Structural CAD Technician. 

This role is primarily on-site, with some flexibility at our Scarborough location.

Highlights of What You Will Do:

 

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand display requirements and objectives.
  • Creating assembly instructions and verifying against display prototypes and Final CAD and Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Create assembly instruction sheets using Artios CAD or Adobe CS
  • Prepare 3D and DAE files using Artios CAD 3D  feature.
  • Collaborate with design & production teams to ensure seamless transition from design to manufacturing.
  • Quality control of final structural design files.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and materials to bring fresh ideas.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues.

 

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Communication Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an assembly or co-packing facility.
  • Proficient in Artios CAD.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe CS is an asset but not preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of structural design, corrugate, production processes, and printing techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and eco-friendly display solutions is a plus.
