Account Manager
Role Overview
As an Account Manager (AM), you are an important member of our highly valued Sales team. As the lead customer-facing representative for Harding Display Corp (HDC), you possess and apply detailed product knowledge, and a thorough understanding of your clients’ business needs to identify and unlock opportunities for growth. You will manage a portfolio of assigned new and existing HDC clients, with the objective of achieving profitable business growth and your annual targets. In addition, this role is responsible for sales expansion and introducing new products/services to new and existing clients.
This role offers the best of both worlds - you'll be in the office a minimum of three days a week, with flexibility for the rest.
A Closer Look at What You Will Do
- Reach and exceed sales and revenue objectives through development and growth of existing accounts and new prospects
- Identify customer and market trends to develop an action plan to drive sales growth
- Build annual customer business plan with Sales leadership collaboration, to align on account-specific strategy and action plan
- Manage and develop new customer business through new prospects, as assigned
- Support Account Directors on Business Development strategy by executing activities related to prospecting, client communication, and opportunity identification
- Communicate program-specific client needs to internal partners, ensure deliverables are met through the design, price estimating, production, and logistics processes
- Effectively use HDC tools, systems, and processes to hand-off client projects into production
- Facilitate the execution of client purchase orders to ensure on-time, in-full delivery
- Provide regular and timely review of project status with Sales leadership and the client
- Participate in business and networking events on a regular basis with existing customers and potential prospects
- Participate in trade shows and/or industry events
- Participate in other training & development opportunities to expand knowledge, capabilities, and effectiveness relevant to your position at HDC
Your Skills and Experience
- Post-secondary diploma or degree
- 3-5 years account management/sales experience in the Display, Packaging, or Print industry is an asset
- Customer/client-management experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is an asset
- Experience with Sales Force.com, HubSpot, or other CRM, is preferred
- Strong presentation skills
- You are willing and able to travel to the U.S. up to 25% of the time
- Class G drivers license with access to a personal vehicle
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage workload and deadlines with frequent interruptions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work and thrive in a team environment, focused on achieving results
