To achieve this, we have developed The Globe® Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.
We have now completed our pivotal clinical study and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.
Kardium has a new exciting new opportunity for a Project Assistant to join our growing operation. We currently have over 177,000 sq. ft. of office, manufacturing, and warehouse space spread out between five buildings in the same business park, with multiple construction and renovation projects running concurrently. You will report to the Manager, Special Projects and will work closely with the Facilities, Janitorial, and Catering teams.
Please note this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement located in Burnaby, BC.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
Your responsibilities will include:
- Project assistance: back-up project manager for all new construction and renovation projects ranging in size from $5K - $11M; liaison with contractors on work scopes, scheduling, building access, Kardium-provided materials and supplies, etc.
- Facilities assistance: source and order office furniture and equipment; update seating plans; arrange vendor service calls as needed.
- Office assistance: order office supplies, nameplates, flags, company photos, etc.; manage the Kardium electrical vehicle chargers in conjunction with the service vendor; run errands.
- Catering assistance: order and arrange catering for internal and external meetings; provide administrative assistance to the Catering team.
What you bring to the team

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience coordinating and assisting with construction and renovation projects in a collaborative environment OR alternatively an administrative background with extensive experience and strong interest in construction, property management, facilities, or other relevant industry.
- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field is desirable, e.g. project management, facilities, building management, engineering, etc.
- Good grasp and understanding of building and construction terminology; can read drawings.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.) as well as Visio; experience with MaintenanceCare is a bonus.
- Valid driver’s licence and clean driving abstract.
- Extremely strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
- Proven experience to work independently; self-motivated – you like to get things done!
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- A positive attitude, friendly, and welcoming manner.
Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
- $60,000 – $80,000 CAD Annually
