Legislative & Advisory Services Assistant

The Role
We are seeking a people-focused Legislative & Advisory Services Assistant who fosters a positive team dynamic in support of diverse goals and tasks. The responsibilities for the Assistant position include general administrative duties including research, file maintenance, division support; ownership of initiatives including overseeing requests for information under the Freedom of Information and Protection or Privacy Act (FOIP); planning and coordinating division events and training, updating relevant sections of the Town website, and managing the municipal flags.
To be successful in this role you have post-secondary office administration certification with one (1) year experience in an office setting, or a combination of education and experience. In addition, you have demonstrated strength in working collaboratively in a dynamic environment and diverse workload; you have a customer centric approach supported by excellent oral and written communication skills. Freedom of Information and Protection or Privacy Act (FOIP) training and knowledge would be considered an asset.
