The Explorer Hotel is Yellowknife’s premier hospitality destination, offering exceptional service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We’re seeking a detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our front-of-house team and ensure seamless overnight operations.

Position Overview

As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for balancing daily financial transactions, providing outstanding guest service, and supporting front desk operations during the overnight shift. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-of-day financial reconciliations, audit reports, and post guest folios
• Prepare and distribute daily revenue and operational reports for management
• Handle front desk duties: check-in, check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries
• Resolve guest issues and complaints with professionalism and a solution-oriented approach
• Ensure accurate posting of room charges, taxes, and payments
• Maintain a secure environment by monitoring hotel premises overnight
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for urgent requests

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in a Night Auditor, front desk, or accounting support role
• Strong problem-solving abilities and numerical accuracy
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Proficiency with property/hotel management systems (preferred) and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High level of integrity and confidentiality

Shift & Schedule

• Part-time: 2–4 shifts per week
• 8-hour shifts, primarily overnight (e.g., 11:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• Availability on weekends is required
