iGaming Ontario leads the Province of Ontario’s dynamic internet gaming (igaming) market that, in its third year generated $83 billion in total wagers, a 31% increase over the previous year. This resulted in $3.2 billion in total gaming revenue from over 80 gaming sites. Even more, Ontario’s igaming market sustained almost 15,000 full-time equivalent jobs across the province. iGaming Ontario is recruiting for the contract role of Senior Manager, Strategic Policy. This 15-month opportunity will provide expert analysis and strategic advice to the Senior Leadership Team on all gaming policy matters. This role ensures that all policies and programs align with iGaming Ontario's commercial mandate, government policy agenda, and strategic objectives.
In this role you will:
- Provide expert analysis and strategic advice on strategic gaming policy, including our commercial agreement with gaming operators, self-exclusion and international liquidity.
- Oversee the development and implementation of policies aligning iGaming Ontario's mandates and market strategy.
- Manage the research, analysis and program evaluation for iGaming Ontario's strategic policy work.
- Lead stakeholder management and collaboration for strategic policy work across iGaming Ontario.
- Manage a high performing team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven leadership experience to manage a high performing team.
- Advanced knowledge of policy development, program design and evaluation.
- Experience working within the online gaming sector and/or strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory frameworks associated with the gaming sector in Ontario.
- Knowledge of project management principles and techniques and change management.
- Ability to manage complex and sensitive consultations and issues in a high-profile setting.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and critically, using qualitative and quantitative information to guide strategic planning and decision-making.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and will be subject to a criminal background check.
This position currently offers a hybrid work location. iGaming Ontario has implemented a minimum three-day per week in-office schedule. iGaming Ontario reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time.
