iGaming Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Process Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Delivery, we are seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to support and optimize our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and data governance functions within a fast-paced, regulatory gaming environment. This role, while working within the Business Transformation team, will intersect with AML, Compliance, Data, Technology and Delivery improving AML-related processes, enhancing data quality, and driving meaningful changes. The successful candidate will lead the development of streamlined and standardized processes, define process improvements by identifying redundancies and recommending automations.
The Senior Business Process Analyst will support iGaming Ontario’s core business functions in driving organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
In this role, the successful candidate will:
- Utilize Requirements elicitation techniques to gather and document requirements and create the necessary process maps.
- Collaborate with Business units to create/revise business requirements ensuring alignment with enterprise business objectives and priorities.
- Champion process standardization and automation opportunities across business units.
- Coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for business processes, platform changes and regulatory features.
- Validate end-to-end data flows across business functions, oversee project deliverables ensuring project objectives are being met.
- Write test cases for system requirements and participate in testing the system when needed to ensure the purchased system performs as expected.
- Work closely with the business owner and the IT solutions team to ensure that the proposed solutions/systems for implementation aligns with the organization IT roadmap and digital strategy.
- Leveraging Business Process Analysis methodologies, critically evaluate current state business processes for relevance, efficiency, effectiveness and alignment with organization KPIs.
- Develop process improvement plans by identifying gaps and recommending improvements and changes to existing processes to provide more streamlined, efficient ways of conducting business, improved access to information or services.
- Support Stakeholder and Change Leadership, Training and Process adoption organizationally.
- Lead organization continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will have:
- University degree in one of the following fields: Business Analysis, Analytics, Business Administration, and/or relevant experience that develops critical and strategic thinking.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Process Analysis working with business stakeholders on process mapping, analysis and improvement initiatives.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst facilitating workshops, gathering and documenting business needs and user requirements.
- Proven experience as a Business Process Analyst in a regulated industry, preferably online gaming of fintech.
- Experience in Agile environments, especially embedding compliance into product development cycles.
- Experience cultivating a working relationship with different business stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with business processes mapping, process analysis and measurements, process improvements and reporting.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in information analysis and reporting to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Excellent workshop facilitation, communication, organization, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- A Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles is an asset.
- Knowledge and application of business intelligence solutions (i.e. MS Power BI), SQL is an asset.
- Expertise in documenting and re-engineering complex business processes in highly regulated environments.
- Experience within agile development lifecycles and cross-functional gaming product teams is an asset.
- Experience delivering training or driving adoption of new processes across business units.
- Experience working with BPMN and BABOK methodologies is an asset.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and will be subject to a criminal background check.
This position currently offers a hybrid work location. iGaming Ontario has implemented a minimum three-day per week in-office schedule. iGaming Ontario reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time.
This position falls within the scope of a bargaining unit represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU). In the upcoming months, iGaming Ontario and OPSEU will be negotiating the terms of a collective agreement which, once concluded, will govern the terms and conditions of this position.
