Key Account Inside Sales Representative
Overview: As a Key Account Inside Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional service for existing key clients. Your primary responsibility will be to foster long-term relationships with key customers and to drive revenue growth through strategic account management.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Account Management:
- Act as the main point of contact for key clients, understanding their unique shipping needs and tailoring solutions accordingly.
- Work jointly with the Vice President, Operations, to develop and implement strategic account plans to maximize revenue and achieve sales targets.
Client Service:
- Provide outstanding customer service by handling queries, finding alternatives, and ensuring timely delivery service in line with customer requirements.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure shipment execution and resolve any service-related issues.
- Conduct daily follow-ups with major customers for service issues.
- Support the Billing/Collection Department with any rate and billing issues.
- Conduct customer satisfaction surveys from time to time.
Relationship Building:
- Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients through regular communication and on-site visits when necessary.
- Understand the evolving needs of key accounts and proactively propose solutions to meet those needs.
Sales and Upselling:
- Respond to customer rate inquiries.
- Open accounts.
- Sell additional services and solutions to existing key customers.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and collaborate with the sales team to expand the range of services offered to major accounts.
- Attend sales campaigns by phone, email and/or trade shows.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Track and analyze key account performance, providing regular reports and insights to management.
- Utilize data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in key account management strategies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inside sales, account management, or client service, in logistics or the transport industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience creating sales proposals and presentations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education: A bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not always required, depending on relevant experience.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in building and maintaining client relationships, has a keen understanding of the logistics and transport industry, and is motivated to drive revenue growth through strategic account management.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $60000 per year

Schedule: Monday to Friday - 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM
