Axiom Builders is strengthening the FP&A team with the addition of an Analyst to support our business leaders in making informed, long-term decisions. Reporting to the Director, Finance you will take a hands-on role in designing and maintaining financial models, with a focus on analyzing departmental and divisional performance. This operational role is an opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the financial drivers behind Axiom Builders’ day-to-day business activities and to contribute meaningful insights that support effective decision making across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate divisional and departmental forecast updates into analyses, dashboards, and reporting presentations to help drive strategic planning, operational, and investment decisions;
- Prepare monthly financial and operational dashboard updates to help evaluate performance against business plan targets;
- Drive the process for monthly reviews and forecast updates with divisional and departmental leaders and senior management;
- Perform variance analyses and forecasts to help make key business decisions;
- Provide insight into project financial performance;
- Investigate data problems using creativity and persistence.
The ideal FP&A Analyst is an extremely analytical financial professional with strong business acumen and a deep understanding of business operations, including how various internal functions interact to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making. In an industry where progress can be methodical, but business decisions move fast, you’re able to quickly absorb information, adapt to shifting priorities, and flex with the team to provide timely, valuable expertise. Our business leaders will be leaning on the FP&A Analyst for unique perspectives and out-of-the-box thinking, while also trusting your detail-oriented, numbers-driven knowledge of finance to communicate sound business advice. You are comfortable presenting financial insights to a variety of audiences and skilled at using storytelling to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
