Operations - Material Handler Operator

The Material Handler will be responsible for the loading/unloading scrap metal to and from production equipment, trailers and/or railcars. The role is also responsible for yard clean up and scrap pile maintenance ensuring efficient and effective shipping, receiving, production and material flow.

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday: 7:00AM to 4:30PM. Saturdays: 7:00AM to 11:30AM

What’s Expected:

• Ensures the safe and efficient operation of the Material Handler in accordance with operational policies and procedures to meet established production targets
• Facilitates the loading and/or unloading of scrap materials from trailers, railcars, and production equipment.
• Completes scrap pile maintenance by piling scrap metals and cleaning around piles
• Completes yard and roadway maintenance, cleaning areas of obstructions
• Arranges oversize material for processing in torching areas Changing attachments as required
• Performs general preventative maintenance on the Material Handler equipment based on prescribed procedures to ensure equipment does not incur unexpected downtime
• Check and replenish oil, hydraulic fluid, diesel, DEF
• Grease attachments, pins and undercarriage Housekeeping of equipment including cab, maintaining cleanly working environment
• Records and reports all equipment deficiencies and submits all associated documentation to ensure that required maintenance is performed and Material Handler equipment meets established operational and safety standards
• Engage with Public Yard Customers

You have:

• Must exhibit Triple M Metal LP's Core Values of Respect, Ethics, Service, Team, and Pride
• Heavy Equipment Certification (preferred).
• Valid G Driver's License
• 1- 2 years’ experience operating Heavy Equipment, Excavator, Scrap Handler (preferred).
