Maintenance Planner

The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material.  This is done through planning/preparing all maintenance activities including preventative maintenance work orders, reactive work orders, and planned outages using EAM program in conjunction with plant leadership. The role will also manage and maintain the plant storeroom/inventory.

Qualifications              

Education         

Minimum - High School Diploma or Equivalent 

Preferred - Some undergraduate classes or equivalent training

Experience    

Minimum - 2 to 3 years of direct or indirect job experience related to mechanical /

maintenance; proficient with Microsoft Suite    

Preferred - Prior experience in a storeroom atmosphere (tool crib layout, bin locations, product lines, inventory control procedures), Previous EAM experience

Key Responsibilities

1 

Manage and continuously improve stores inventory according to company standards to ensure adequate inventory for all crucial parts and components, including consumables. Serve as back-up for purchasing/requisition process. 

2 

Stage parts, supplies, and materials for maintenance and production team to complete repairs. Prepare stock and supplies for efficient and effective usage during planned outages. 

3 

Create, process, assign, and close EAM (INFOR) work orders relative to preventative maintenance schedules and work orders. Partner with leadership to ensure timely completion of work orders 

4 

Complete cycle counts at appropriate intervals, including root cause analysis on failures, according to department standards in order to ensure all parts are stocked and available to the production processes

 

5 

Report or mitigate deviations, discrepancies or non-conforming material based on departmental procedure in order for the Maintenance team to make corrections or adjustments to processes or ordering accordingly 

6 

Comply with all safety rules, company practices/procedures, DOT requirements and participate in safe work practices, as outlined by the company or government regulation in order to facilitate a safe and compliant working environment

Indicated below are any physical demands (e.g. lifting or carrying heavy objects, operating machinery or equipment) and intense audio or visual attention (e.g. monitoring individuals and/or equipment, large quantities of data entry) required on a regular basis, including the type of effort and the frequency experienced.  

 

Low frequency lifting up to 75 lbs; Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. High Frequent use of forklift/mobile equipment; physical demands include frequent standing, lifting, bending, reaching and walking. 

 

Working Conditions 

Indicated below are any working conditions beyond a normal office environment, including the type of condition (e.g. exposure to heat/cold/noise/fumes, restricted movement, frequent travel) and the frequency experienced. 

  

Normal office environment 60% of time. Frequent exposure to plant floor involving ambient temperature and noise/dust.
