Infrastructure Engineer

Job Mandate

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage infrastructure that supports our scalable and secure applications. As a part of the technical team, this role will participate in business initiatives and projects related to all aspects of our infrastructure and application This includes network, storage, servers, virtualization, cloud (Azure/AWS), and any internally developed or vendor supplied applications.

Major Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain server, storage, and network systems to ensure high availability and performance.
• Manage incident, problem, and change management processes for infrastructure components.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring or high-impact infrastructure incidents.
• Apply patches, firmware upgrades, and OS updates following approved change controls.
• Execute infrastructure health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and configuration records.
• Respond to monitoring alerts and perform first- and second-level troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., application support, security, DevOps) to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Support disaster recovery and backup operations, including testing and optimization.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Strong sense of ownership and operational awareness
• Able to work cross-functionally across dev, infrastructure, and legacy support teams
• Comfortable maintaining reliability for systems you didn’t originally build

• Hybrid of remote work and office setting
• Office setting - Open, collaborative office space (may vary by location).
• Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Reliable access to personal transportation is a requirement.
• Must be willing to travel within Canada and the United States and have a valid passport.

Required Qualifications

The following table lists the skills that are sought and the level of expertise desired. 3+ years of experience in infrastructure operations or a related IT support role
