Under the supervision of the Physical Activities Coordination team, the individual will be responsible for offering stimulating, safe, and creative group classes.
The Challenge We Offer You
- Lead classes according to the course descriptions and guidelines established by the YMCAs of Québec.
- Adapt exercises to create an inclusive environment by providing options or modifications to encourage members to train at their own pace.
- Observe participants and provide feedback and corrections as needed.
- Intervene tactfully and diplomatically when a member performs an exercise in a way that poses a risk of injury.
- Ensure that procedures and policies are followed.
- Adhere to YMCA policies and procedures regarding the protection of children and vulnerable individuals.
- Understand and integrate the value of philanthropy into the role and within the Association, participating in fundraising activities/events.

The Person We Are Looking For
- Hold a certification relevant to the course specialty, such as a YMCA FIT certification or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of one year of experience as an instructor.
- Hold a certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
- Be able to work in both official languages.
- Have no criminal record related to the position.
