Facility Attendant - afternoon shift

Every day, more than 1,200 people work within the YMCA network in Quebec to support those who need it most.

We are looking for a Facility Attendant responsible for the daily operation of the center’s facilities. Are you the right person for the job?

The Challenge We Offer You

Under the supervision of the Facility Services Manager, you will:

• Perform all required minor repairs of various types (painting, plastering, wall repair, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general maintenance).
• Work closely with the center’s facility team.
• Be willing to work occasionally outside of regular hours (emergency calls).
• Respond to the needs of participants, members, and volunteers.
• Adhere to YMCA policies and procedures regarding the protection of children and vulnerable individuals.
• Understand and integrate the value of philanthropy into your role and the Association, and participate in fundraising activities/events.

The Person We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, the Facility Attendant should:

• Have experience in the field or a related area.
• Being available from 1h30pm to 9h30pm monday to friday.
• Be able to read plans and specifications.
• Hold a diploma in building mechanical technology (an asset).
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Be willing to complete various technical and other training sessions.
• Have a good knowledge of French.
• Have no criminal record related to the position.
