The Opportunity

McElhanney is looking for a registered Landscape Architect to join our thriving  team in Kelowna, BC. We are seeking a professional with an established network, and a deep understanding of the local development market.

Make an impact with our diverse portfolio of projects, including urban integration, community development, parks and open spaces, sports and recreation, active transportation, cultural landscapes, , and environmental/sustainable design.

You will play a pivotal role in mentoring junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team. You'll also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the array of technical services offered by McElhanney including civil, structural, geotechnical, environmental, and electrical.

Additionally, this role comes with a strong expectation for business development and client relationship management. This includes leveraging existing industry connections and bringing in new work by proactively engaging with local clients and partners.

The successful candidate will be based in Kelowna, BC, with the flexibility to work on projects anywhere in British Columbia

This role is designated as a safety sensitive position.

 

What You’ll do:

  • Lead and contribute to high-impact projects, ensuring innovative and sustainable solutions for communities.
  • Identifying and pursuing new opportunities, fostering relationships with developers, municipalities, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
  • Conduct site visits and oversee construction administration to ensure design integrity and quality implementation.

 

What You’ll bring:

  • 10 - 20 years of related experience in Western Canada including the Okanagan area.
  • Full membership with the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects (BCSLA).


What Can We Offer You?


The salary range for this position is $109,000 to $130,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
