The Opportunity
McElhanney is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team in Kamloops, BC. In this role, you will be an essential asset to our team, advancing various projects and initiatives within our Kamloops branch. Our branch is a fast-growing, multi-disciplinary team that tackles diverse projects in municipal engineering, project management, contract administration, structural construction supervision, energy and resources, data management, natural disaster recovery, parks and recreation, land development, and more. The successful candidate will work with groups within the branch which are best suited to their experience as there is a need across multiple disciplines for Project Coordinator support.

Live in Kamloops

What You’ll Be Doing
- Facilitate the successful delivery of our client’s projects of varying scale and complexity
- Coordinate staff and project schedules, track equipment usage, assist with project setup and invoicing, and provide operational support
- Assist Project Managers with project tracking, scope management, monthly reporting, monthly financial reporting, cost estimation, and document preparation
- Support in the preparation of deliverables, presentations, proposals, and documentation
- Coordinate project meetings with clients and stakeholders, contributing to discussions, capturing key action items, and ensuring follow-up on deliverables
- Take on evolving responsibilities as needed, applying critical thinking and adaptability to support a variety of projects across different teams and disciplines
What You’ll Bring
- 5 years of experience in project coordination or similar role, ideally consulting experience and a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a related STEM field discipline and/or in Business / Project Management institution
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification would be considered an asset
- Experience in the engineering, construction, or project management, with an understanding of project management systems is preferred
- Teamwork and communication skills; ability to build and manage relationships with staff members, numerous clients, consultants, local governments, and stakeholders
- Strong computer (Microsoft Office, PDF Editors, etc.) skill set. A demonstrated ability incorporating efficiencies through software and AI are preferred
What Can We Offer You?
The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $95,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
