Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector
Reports To: Quality Supervisor
Department: Quality
Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Rate: $17.70/hr
Key Responsibilities:
• Conducts quality control inspections on electronic and mechanical products according to company quality procedures and workmanship standards (i.e. performs incoming, in-process, quality control inspections)
• Read and follow detailed written instructions
• Completes necessary quality control documentation (i.e. collect and record inspection data as per inspection procedure)
• Rework of soldered electrical assemblies
• Sitting and using magnifier lenses for most of shifts
• Provides feedback to team
• Assists in training of new inspectors as assigned
• Participate in team quality meeting(s) and provide feedback to team on issues identified after troubleshooting
• Participate in training and certification programs to ensure job knowledge and skills set requirements are updated regularly
• Participate in all team level quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years electronic assembly and inspection experience, rework skills are a bonus
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Standards; knowledge of IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies and IPC-A-610 Printed Circuit Board guidelines preferred
• Strong understanding and application of workmanship standards
• Thorough understanding and application of quality standards and control procedures
• Detail oriented, quality conscious, well organized, analytical and reliable
• Comfortable with speaking up when finding issues
• Ability to understand and communicate in written and oral English is essential
• Good quality close-up vision
• Enthusiasm and ability to work well independently
• A positive team first attitude
• Flexibility to work shifts and perform different inspections according to business needs
