The Position:
Neelands Group Limited is searching for a Sheet Metal Worker (308A) Term 1 Apprentice to join our team at the Burlington, Ontario location. This is a regular, full-time union position with a full union compensation package. Reporting to the Senior HVAC Manager, the Apprentice will work closely with the team on installation of HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Journeyman to measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed on projects according to specifications
- Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with TDC, Cleats, bolts, and welded joints
- Ensure that efficiency is maximized while installing HVAC systems while in fast-paced environment
- Ensure making safety a priority on the job during all activities, including while using tools, installing and fabricating duct systems
- Good housekeeping and organization
- Work well independently and in a team environment
Qualifications:
- G3 Gas license (G2 is considered an asset)
- Valid G license with a clean driver abstract
- High School diploma
- English language proficiency (read/write/speak)
- Experience in brazing is considered an asset
- Commercial and industrial HVAC experience an asset
