Part-Time Groundskeeper

• Location: Astro Hill Rentals, Iqaluit, NU
• Hours: 20~25 hours per week
• Hourly Wage: $25.00~$27.00 per hour

 Job Description:

Astro Hill Rentals is seeking a dedicated and reliable Part-Time Groundskeeper to join our team in Iqaluit, NU. As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and safety of our property. This role requires a hardworking individual who can manage a variety of tasks related to grounds maintenance and general labor.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Grounds Maintenance: Maintain and enhance the appearance of the grounds, including lawn care, gardening, weeding, trimming, and planting.
• Snow Removal: Perform snow removal tasks during winter months to ensure safe and accessible pathways and driveways.
• Annual Sea-Lift Assistance: Help with the logistics and physical tasks associated with the annual sea-lift, including receiving and organizing supplies.
• General Laborer Duties: Assist with various laborer tasks as needed, including minor repairs, painting, and maintenance projects.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and care for all grounds keeping equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.

 Qualifications:

• Previous experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects and operating grounds keeping equipment.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of property care.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

 Additional Information:

• This position is part-time, with 20 hours of work per week.
• Flexibility in scheduling may be required, especially during peak seasons such as winter for snow removal.
