** Schedule from Monday to Friday - 6AM to 2PM **
SUMMARY:
The position collects, coordinates, and tracks necessary information for inbound and outbound shipments while auditing related documents for accuracy and processing them in a timely manner. The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for controlling the flow of all transporters and visitors to the site.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet drivers and/or visitors on arrival
- Check In / Assign: Door and trailer
- Verify and confirm transporter ID and shipment information
- Update Dock Control and appointment log sheets
- Processes and confirms inbound and outbound shipments in our WMS system
- Assign loads to MHE operators (Material Handling Equipment (forklifts)
- Prepares and/or verifies Bills of Lading for all shipments, both inbound and outbound
- Communicate/ follow up with Carriers and team via email
- Provides assorted back up supporting the department as needed
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years of experience in a 3PL warehouse/transportation environment
- 1-2 year of experience in an office environment

EDUCATION
- High school education. Post-Secondary education preferred.
