About the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club: As a family-oriented private Club, our mission is to be a Great Club for our members by delivering exceptional experiences, inspired by our warm and welcoming culture. Located in North Toronto, the Club consists of more than 4,000 members, with a strong presence in the local social and sporting community.
We are currently looking for a Part-time Health & Fitness Associate. This position is responsible for supervision of the Members exercising in the Health and Fitness Centre, providing exercise technique corrections, fitness appraisals, program demonstrations, exercise program prescription and assisting with activity administrative duties. The Health & Fitness Associate will report to the Health & Fitness Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assist Members with the safe and effective use of Health and Fitness Centre equipment
- Promote Health and Fitness Centre rules and regulations
- Maintain the Health and Fitness Centre in safe and clean order; this includes putting away soiled towels, free weights and other items as required
- Monitor all Health and Fitness facilities and equipment and notify the Health & Fitness Manager of any required maintenance
- Foster a positive Health and Fitness lifestyle through Member inspiration and encouragement
- Establish and maintain rapport with Members in the Health and Fitness Centre
- Provide regular Fitness Assessments and program demonstrations
- Assist Members regarding program service enquiry and registration of programs in person/by phone
- Provide regular communication to Activity Members where applicable
- Assist with regular updates to bulletin boards with fresh and new information
- Assist with creative thinking and running of monthly challenges and events
- Assist with billing of all program fees
Job Requirements:
- Graduate or student in Physical, Education, Kinesiology or related Diploma or Degree in a program related to Recreational Management
- Current First Aid & CPR/AED certification is required
- Excellent interpersonal skills, service-driven, positive attitude, enthusiastic, creative
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Flexible to work variable shifts; early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
