WHAT WILL YOU DO
Reporting to the General Manager, Terminal Construction, the Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting other Project Managers during the execution of the projects part of the portfolio plan. This requires the Project Coordinator to perform duties essential to effective project management.

Our Terminal Construction and Civil Construction teams are always on the go and work very closely with many internal and external stakeholders to ensure the continuous development and improvement of our international airport.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in developing project charters with internal clients, report progress to internal clients, supervisors, and other stakeholders as required.
- Collaborate with internal and external team members to identify requirements, processes, gaps, and solutions to meet airport stakeholder needs.
- Facilitate requirements gathering and solution design through interviews, requirements workshops, existing documentation analysis, and site visits.
- Draft Agendas, attend and minute project meetings.
- Responsible for project tracking tools, including tracking design, material, construction schedules and financial performance.
- Provide project management support, including tracking and reporting on various aspects of the projects with internal stakeholders.
- Assist the Project Manager with overall project performance including costs, schedule, quality and project status.
- Manage small scale projects with guidance of PM or General Manager
- Develop project plans. Track and communicate the status of activities and project milestones,
- Coordination of construction activities within operational spaces; noise, dust, modified hours, shutdowns; security must be considered and coordinated with affected airport partners.
- Communication and resolution of project issues between Prime Consultant and Construction Manager.
- Prepare reports on project progress. Maintain accurate documentation using departmental templates, standards or related processes.
- Assist with project closure activities.
- Monitor schedules, estimate design and construction durations, set and communicate project milestones.
- Work closely with Airport Operations to ensure detailed operational plans & schedules are prepared, communicated and managed.
- Prepare project presentations as/when required.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING
- The ability to gain and maintain a RAIC (RAIC Program and Application Information)
- Post-Secondary education in Engineering, Architecture or a Technical School graduate in a Construction related discipline.
- 2+ years of progressive construction, inspection or design experience.
- Foundational knowledge of life cycle and PM methodologies.
- Knowledge of contracting and trade methods/practices and products.
- Knowledge of Building Codes, Airport Standards, Regulations, and Bylaws.
- Knowledge of airport operational regulations and processes.
- Experience with contracts, tenders, and project close out.
- Some experience in reading technical specifications, design/construction drawings, schematics and details.
- This role is considered safety sensitive and will require a pre-employment drug and alcohol test through a third-party provider.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
WHAT OPTIONAL ELEMENTS SUPPORT YOUR APPLICATION (all are assets)
- Bilingual in English and French.
- Professional designation such as EIT or CAPM will be considered an asset.
- Experience in engineering design, cost estimating, construction or inspection will be considered an asset.
