Job Overview: 

Responsible for assisting with budgeting, forecasting, tracking, analysis and reporting of various financial data for procurement that support the achievement of short and long-term business objectives. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Proactively support the annual budgeting process by working closely with other departments to produce a quality bottom-up budge 
  • Responsible for preparing quarterly forecasts with detailed analytical support for all projections. 
  • Develop analytical models in Excel to support senior management decision making on special projects. 
  • Prepare, analyze and present recommendation on financial forecasts, future trends and the impact to operational goals and objectives impacting both short- and long-term financial objectives. Establish and maintain linkages with commercial and operational functions. 
  • Seek opportunities to improve efficiency of processes while maintaining accuracy. 
  • Analyze weekly and monthly variance reports and provide explanations for deviations. 
  • Provide analytical and technical expertise on major initiatives. 
  • Responsible for various month end activities. 
  • Ensure effective internal controls are in place, monitored, and adhered to throughout the Company 

 

Recipe for Success: 

  • Completion of university degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field. 
  • Minimum 5 years of financial analysis experience. 
  • Completion of CPA, CMA, or CGA designation. 
  • Job specific knowledge of consumer-packaged goods industry and proven financial analysis and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skill building strong relationships with stakeholders. 
  • Results oriented with strong attention to detail, initiative and independence. 
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written; strong listening skills). 
  • Proven initiative and willingness to drive change, with a focus on innovation, process improvement and solving problems. 
  • Strong computer systems (MS Office, ERP systems) 
  • Intermediate Power BI skills required. 
  • Ability to prioritize demands in a fast-paced work environment.
