We are currently seeking a dedicated Site Foreman/woman to join our team who will contribute to overall success of the Construction Site by providing quality work. The site is located in Martensville located 8 kilometers north of Saskatoon.
What You Will Do:
- Interpret drawings, plans, and blueprints, and effectively communicate information to team members and site personnel
- Plan, execute, and oversee construction activities to ensure project priorities and objectives are being met
- Provide daily project status updates to the superintendent and other relative stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and regulations by maintaining a thorough understanding of safe work practices and always enforcing safe work
- Demonstrate strong leadership by setting a positive example and guiding team members effectively
- Mentor and provide training opportunities for labourers and carpenter apprentices to support their skill development and growth
- Assign tasks and project responsibilities to crew members and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow and project completion
- Establish and enforce quality standards on sites to ensure all work meets project specifications and industry standards and requirements
- Perform job duties efficiently in all weather conditions when safe to do so while ensuring all safety protocols are being followed as sites operate year-round
You Will Bring:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction-related role, with a strong background in both concrete and wood-frame construction techniques
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a construction site environment, with a proven track record of leading and overseeing staff effectively
- Extensive experience in managing large-scale projects, particularly those involving concrete construction, is required.
- Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter certification is preferred, demonstrating advanced skills and expertise in carpentry.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills to manage complex project needs and diverse teams
- Strong understanding of construction schedules, reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to calculate accurate specification requirements
- Be willing and able to travel to other markets of operation in Canada if needed for temporary assignments
- Have a solid understanding of basic computer skills to effectively manage tasks and communicate
