Position Summary 

Reporting to the Vice President of Network and Revenue Management, the Business Development Lead is responsible to drive growth across our charter, cargo, and scheduled passenger operations. The role requires a high degree of mobility, driving sales across urban and remote settings including Northern regions.  

The incumbent will build trust, navigate diverse relationships, secure contracts, and respond decisively in a fast-paced, competitive industry.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

  • Lead sales efforts across charter, cargo, and scheduled passenger services, with a focus on building new business and retaining key accounts.
  • Proactively identify opportunities in both urban and remote markets, tailoring solutions for each client’s unique needs.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with Indigenous leaders, community organizations, corporate clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, meetings, and events to promote our aviation services.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (charters, commercial, operations, marketing) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends and provide insights to inform strategy, pricing, and route development.
  • Travel extensively across regions as required—often with short notice.
  • Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System
  • Embrace Perimeter’s culture of safety, ensuring that staff members are actively participating in the Company’s Safety Management System
  • Perform additional duties as assigned 

Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce or related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally in aviation, logistics, or related fields.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and authorizations
  • Proficient in the use of technology including CRM applications (HubSpot), Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Sales-savvy with experience in charters, cargo, or transportation/logistics industries (aviation experience is an asset).
  • Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations 

Working Conditions 

  • Physically able to perform all listed job duties
  • Frequent travel by aircraft and other means as required by role (helicopter, water crossings etc.)

  • Work performed in multiple environments, contact with staff and the general public
  • Ability to attend and participate in offsite work events as required (e.g. sponsorship events)
