Shift Hours: Monday to Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm
What Will You Do?
- Main point of contact for issues regarding fleet communications and tracking all equipment.
- Provide training for shop, operations staff and driver services corporately as well as terminal wide (some travel to all terminals)
- Provide inventory reports, order stock and monitor invoicing from vendors (approve invoices from vendors and pass on for payment)
- Develop policies and procedures regarding proper use, installation, removal and maintenance of all communication equipment and communicate through verbal and written methods to users.
- Create standardized forms for tracking inventory adjustments, warranty returns and recovery for technicians.
- Conduct unit and serial number tracking maintaining an up-to-date report as required.
- Expand drivers and operations system offerings, upon appropriate approved requests.
- Provide network support for fleet communications and tracking systems take driver calls and communicate directly to resolve issues.
- Manage product recalls, updates and inventory at all shops.
- Perform pre-test on all equipment, before returning parts for warranty or back in service
- Possess a strong understanding of Erb dispatch and maintenance software.
- Liaison between shop and vendors to gain timely answers to technical problems.
- Research with vendors for new innovative technology, services, hardware etc.
- Attend truck technology shows and webinars to offer input into what could benefit The Erb Group currently and in to the future.
- Responsible for fleet maintenance tracking and telematics performance for tractors, trucks, trailers, reefers and off-road equipment
- Working with tracking group consisting of fuel administration, drivers services and maintenance staff for accurate reporting and system changes.
- Create and distribute technical documents for technician and operations staff as well circulate to drivers.
- All other duties as required.
Who Are We Looking For?
- 2-4 Years’ experience working in a Transportation environment. Experience with telematics and TMT knowledge an asset
- Strong Outlook, Word and Excel knowledge, essential
- Excellent communication both verbal and written
- High attention to detail
- Ability to be flexible in a changing environment
- Team player and powerful problem solving skills
- Flexibility to travel as required
