OVERVIEW

 

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing the sales team, and building strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the sales process.

 

The Sales Manager is also responsible for establishing and meeting profitable targets for sales in his sector. He performs any other related duties requested by his immediate supervisor, all in accordance with the internal procedures and rules.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Lead Regional Sales Team (Territory Managers and Inside Sales) and drive revenue growth (80%)

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and objectives.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach the Sales Team to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and markets for expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to drive business success.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, including sales pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts.
  • Develop and implement sales training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in sales management.
  • Ensure that profit margins are attained as per instructions.

 

Administration (20%)

  • Monthly reviews with Territory Managers
  • Generate statistics on our customers, TM’s, product sales, etc.
  • Produce various reports on our customers.
  • Prepare, analyse, and structure sales reports.
  • Review and maintain the electronic databases of our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience or a similar role with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent proficiency in spoken and written French required. Knowledge of English is necessary to ensure communication with clients across Canada.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Powerpoint) is a must.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and/or SAP ByDesign would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of the wheels / tire industry is a strong asset.
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence.

 

 

*** This position will require travel across the Eastern regions of Canada as per assigned to the region.
