Vice President Supply Chain
OVERVIEW
As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Vice President of Supply Chain will provide strategic direction and oversight for the company’s end-to-end supply chain network, including national warehouse operations, global procurement, and logistics. This role is mission-critical to ensuring optimal product availability, operational efficiency, and service performance across our distribution of wheels, tires, and accessories.
Operating in a high-volume, seasonal environment with significant global sourcing (primarily from China), the VP will lead transformation initiatives, build supply chain resilience, and scale operations to support business growth across Canada.
Reporting to the President, this role will work closely with Sales, Finance, and Product teams and will oversee a team of Directors responsible for each functional area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
- Define and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy that supports business growth, scalability, and seasonal market dynamics.
- Align supply chain capabilities with commercial objectives, new product introductions, and inventory risk management.
- Establish and monitor enterprise-wide supply chain KPIs including inventory turns, order fulfillment rates, landed costs, and supplier performance.
- Identify digital and process transformation opportunities across procurement, warehousing, and logistics.
- Warehouse & Distribution Operations
- Oversee national warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and scalability to meet peak-season demands.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives including layout redesign, throughput enhancements, automation opportunities, and WMS optimization.
- Ensure strong alignment between inventory planning and physical distribution strategies.
- Procurement & Supplier Management
- Lead the development of global sourcing strategies with a particular focus on Asia-based suppliers (notably in China).
- Build and maintain long-term supplier partnerships while driving cost optimization, quality control, and delivery reliability.
- Negotiate high-impact contracts, ensuring favorable terms, risk mitigation, and strategic alignment with the business.
- Monitor global trade conditions, tariffs, and regulatory requirements to safeguard supply continuity.
- Logistics & Freight
- Own the end-to-end logistics function, including container optimization, freight, customs compliance, and domestic distribution.
- Evaluate and improve transportation strategy, including 3PL partnerships, last-mile delivery performance, and cost-to-serve metrics.
- Ensure all processes are compliant, cost-effective, and responsive to changing global trade dynamics.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Directors and Managers across warehouse operations, procurement, and logistics.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the supply chain organization.
- Provide executive-level reporting, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making at the leadership table.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry, distribution, or seasonal product sectors.
- Demonstrated success in international sourcing, container logistics, and managing supplier networks in China or other low-cost regions.
- Strong background in inventory planning, S&OP integration, WMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP ByDesign and Power BI would be an asset).
- Proven ability to lead through complexity, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
- Fully bilingual in French and English is strongly preferred.
CONDITIONS
- This position requires travel outside the country several times a year.
- This hybrid position entails working three days per week from the office and two days per week remotely.
