Job Description:

Wet n Wild Toronto is seeking qualified individuals to fill the position of Maintenance Pool Technician for the upcoming season. As a Pool Chemistry Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for our guests by maintaining the pool water and related systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Pool Water Analysis:
    • Perform regular testing of pool water parameters including pH, chlorine, and alkalinity levels.
    • Record and document all testing results accurately.
  2. Chemical Treatment:
    • Adjust chemical levels as needed to maintain optimal water quality for swimming.
    • Administer other chemical treatments to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the pool.
  3. Equipment Maintenance:
    • Conduct minor repairs on pool equipment, including the replacement of filters and pumps.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure proper functionality.
  4. Pool Area Maintenance:
    • Clean and maintain the pool deck and surrounding areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
    • Perform routine inspections to identify and address any potential safety hazards.
  5. Communication:
    • Report all findings and maintenance activities to the Director of Maintenance.
    • Collaborate with other team members to address any issues promptly.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in pool maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of pool water chemistry and treatment procedures.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs on pool equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording testing results.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

 

Work Environment

This position requires occasional work in or around water, confined quarters, heights, loud environments, moving objects and large crowds. A successful candidate will be able to work in all weather conditions, including vast temperatures and weather conditions.
