Job Description:
Wet n Wild Toronto is seeking qualified individuals to fill the position of Maintenance Pool Technician for the upcoming season. As a Pool Chemistry Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for our guests by maintaining the pool water and related systems.
Responsibilities:
- Pool Water Analysis:
- Perform regular testing of pool water parameters including pH, chlorine, and alkalinity levels.
- Record and document all testing results accurately.
- Chemical Treatment:
- Adjust chemical levels as needed to maintain optimal water quality for swimming.
- Administer other chemical treatments to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the pool.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Conduct minor repairs on pool equipment, including the replacement of filters and pumps.
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure proper functionality.
- Pool Area Maintenance:
- Clean and maintain the pool deck and surrounding areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Perform routine inspections to identify and address any potential safety hazards.
- Communication:
- Report all findings and maintenance activities to the Director of Maintenance.
- Collaborate with other team members to address any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pool maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of pool water chemistry and treatment procedures.
- Ability to perform minor repairs on pool equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording testing results.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Work Environment
This position requires occasional work in or around water, confined quarters, heights, loud environments, moving objects and large crowds. A successful candidate will be able to work in all weather conditions, including vast temperatures and weather conditions.
